Shield AI is seeking an ambitious, motivated Revenue Manager - EMEAs to join our growing Accounting team in one of the fastest growing tech startups in Southern California in Defense & Aerospace.

As a Revenue Manager, you will be responsible for the entire revenue recognition process, from contract review to monthly transacting, while developing cross functional relationships with legal, business development, and program finance.

  • Manage and lead in the preparation, review, and approval of customer contracts, ensuring appropriate recognition in accordance with ASC 606, while providing support and guidance by partnering with Sales, Legal, and Revenue Operations teams on deal structure, contractual terms, and revenue guidance implementation.
  • Own and evolve our ASC 606 revenue policies, including SSP analyses and allocations, as new products, pricing models and contract structures are introduced
  • Serve as one of the company’s subject matter experts on ASC 606, owning the end-to-end revenue accounting process.
  • Lead in the preparation of Technical Revenue Accounting ad hoc projects (SSP Analysis, Product Expansion, Revenue Policies).
  • Streamline non-standard contract workflows with Legal and Deal Desk to balance compliance and business objectives
  • Support internal and external audits, including audit schedules and responses to technical accounting inquiries
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, with a strong focus on technical revenue accounting under ASC 606/IFRS 15; CPA preferred.
  • Deep understanding of order-to-cash (OTC) processes and how technical accounting decisions impact operations.
  • Experience with revenue recognition and OTC systems (e. g., Salesforce) or equivalent tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex technical issues into clear, actionable guidance.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and balance technical rigor with operational practicality.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field of study; CPA is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience working in public and private accounting, Big 4 experience is preferred. Revenue recognition experience is required.
  • Experience with high-growth companies, ideally in the Software as a Service (Saa S) and/or Platform as a Service (Paa S) industry.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work as part of a team.
  • Ability to deliver results and meet expectations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Intermediate knowledge of general accounting concepts and ASC 606.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A data-driven mindset with a proactive approach.
  • Knowledge of SOX compliance protocols.
  • Experience with international expansions a plus
  • Public company experience preferred
