Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Building Safety Compliance Manager to join our team. This role is crucial in navigating the Building Safety Act complexities, ensuring our projects meet all regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in building safety, an understanding of new regulatory frameworks, and a proactive approach to compliance management.
Responsibilities
- Thoroughly understand and apply the Building Safety Act, especially regarding higher-risk buildings (HRBs).
- Manage the transition in compliance from approved inspectors to registered building control approvers and registered building inspectors.
- Oversee Gateway application processes to ensure adherence to new building regulations.
- Implement the duty holder and competence regime across all new building work, ensuring effective compliance with the updated roles and responsibilities.
- Collaborate with the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) to ensure building designs meet functional requirements before construction.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of construction processes, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.
- Lead and coordinate compliance efforts across project phases, ensuring all safety and regulatory requirements are met.
Requirement
- Extensive experience in building safety compliance and regulatory frameworks.
- In-depth knowledge of the Building Safety Act and UK Building Regulations.
- Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage complex compliance requirements.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities.
- IFE qualification.
- Fire safety consultancy/industry background would be advantageous.
