Contract B2B Events Manager
Shield Safety is looking for an experienced freelance Event Consultant to help design and deliver a commercially focused events programme that supports business growth, stakeholder engagement and customer relationships.
This is not a general marketing role and it's not an exhibition management role. We're looking for someone who has built and delivered high-value corporate events, executive forums, leadership roundtables, client events and stakeholder engagement programmes.
You'll work closely with our leadership team to shape an events strategy, evaluate opportunities, develop owned-event formats and ensure activity delivers measurable business outcomes.
What you'll be doing
- Building and managing a structured events programme
- Designing executive roundtables, leadership forums and client events
- Assessing event opportunities and advising where investment should be focused
- Managing end-to-end event delivery
- Coordinating venues, suppliers, speakers and attendees
- Developing event plans, timelines and budgets
- Supporting pre-event promotion and post-event follow-up activity
- Creating reporting that measures engagement, opportunities and commercial impact
- Helping establish a repeatable events operating model
What we're looking for
- Proven experience delivering corporate B2B events
- Experience running conferences, leadership forums, executive roundtables or client events
- Strong project management and organisational skills
- Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and business leaders
- Experience managing multiple events and competing priorities
- Commercial mindset with a focus on outcomes, not just attendance numbers
- Comfortable operating independently and providing strategic recommendations
Desirable
- Experience within hospitality, hotels, professional services or multi-site businesses
- Experience developing event strategies and annual programmes
- Experience measuring event ROI and commercial performance
