Job Summary
The Business Development Executive is responsible for generating and driving pipeline by understanding customer needs and positioning company solutions, developing strategic C-Level relationships, and implementing go-to-market strategies with IT Asset Management technologies. This role involves partnering with sales leadership to execute acquisition strategies, guiding customers through governance best practices, and collaboratively delivering long-term value through ITAM services. This role requires attendance to the Milton Keynes, UK office.
Role Description
- Generate, identify, and drive pipeline by understanding customer IT asset management needs and positioning relevant ITAM services and solutions that address compliance, optimization, and lifecycle challenges.
- Deliver a streamlined and transparent IT asset management experience for customers, supporting them through onboarding to the company’s ITAM Managed Services, including discovery, data normalization, and tool integration.
- Improve the ITAM acumen of SHI’s field and inside sales teams by partnering with regional and district managers and collaborating closely with ITAM specialists and technical resources in your assigned region.
- Strategically partner with sales leadership and account executives to execute the acquisition strategy for ITAM Services across hardware, software, SaaS, and cloud asset management.
- Report, forecast, and track ITAM‑related sales activity within your region to ensure opportunities progress effectively and align with customer governance, compliance, and cost‑control needs.
- Present the value of the company’s IT asset management capabilities at customer events and industry engagements, with occasional travel to meet customers and support regional initiatives.
- Develop, test, refine, and scale sales strategies to drive adoption of ITAM services, including Software Asset Management (SAM), Hardware Asset Management (HAM), and SaaS optimization programs.
- Guide customers through ITAM governance best practices, ensuring they establish accurate data foundations, effective policies, and scalable processes for long‑term asset visibility and control.
- Work collaboratively with company sellers, internal ITAM resources, licensing experts, procurement teams, and service partners to deliver continuous value and measurable outcomes for customers.

- Proficiency in utilizing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to manage and analyze customer interactions and data throughout the customer lifecycle, improving customer service, retention, and sales growth - Intermediate.
Other Requirements
- Completed Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience required.
- 2-4 years of experience in an Inside Sales/Outside Sales role.
- Certification required within first 60 days of SHI employment.
The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
