We have a vacancy within the Quality Department for a Supplier Quality Manager, who will work closely with external suppliers as well as various departments within Invertek to strengthen supplier quality performance, improve supplier quality systems, and support the continued development of supplier quality management across the business.
- Manage supplier quality activities across key suppliers
- Develop and maintain supplier quality monitoring processes and supplier performance metrics
- Conduct supplier quality assessments and on-site supplier audits where required
- Work closely with Purchasing, Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve supplier quality issues
- Lead supplier corrective actions and support root cause investigations
- Support the development and improvement of supplier approval and supplier quality processes
- Drive continuous improvement activities relating to supplier quality performance
- Maintain strong supplier relationships whilst ensuring quality expectations are achieved
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience within a supplier quality, quality engineering, or manufacturing quality role
- Experience conducting supplier audits and managing supplier quality issues
- Good understanding of quality systems and root cause analysis techniques
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with internal departments and external suppliers
- Strong IT skills, particularly Excel
- HNC or above in an engineering or technology discipline would be beneficial
- Lead Auditor qualification or experience would be advantageous
Hours: 8:30am – 17:00pm
