THE ROLE
You will lead the delivery of a programme of senior events across SHGH from May through October 2026. The work spans conferences, political and corporate dinners, and bespoke roundtables. This is a high-trust role. Our audiences are typically senior business leaders, parliamentarians, government representatives, regulators, and media, founders and investors. We need someone who can run point with principals, hold their own with senior delivery partners, and bring a programmer's eye for what makes a serious event land.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead delivery of senior events across SHGH, end-to-end, from concept and programme design through to run-of-show and follow-up.
- Manage venue, AV, programme, briefings, run-of-show and chair experience, working with Innovation Arts on session design.
- Design, invitation strategy, briefings and follow-ups across political dinners, member dinners, founder and investor convenings.
- Longer term potential to contribute to building our events capability, helping us develop a stronger and more strategic events offer over the engagement.
ABOUT YOU
- Five or more years of senior events experience.
- Background running events at organisations including (but not limited to) think tanks, policy institutions, businesses, start-ups, trade associations, VCs, start-up communities, and accelerators is particularly relevant.
- Comfortable running events for senior audiences, including senior business leaders, parliamentarians, founders, investors and regulators.
- Track record of creative design-led events.
- Strong project management discipline combined with an instinct for what makes content land in a room.
- Proactive, comfortable with ambiguity, able to step into a moving programme and bring it to a higher standard.
- Discreet and politically astute.
- Available to start in May 2026.
PRACTICALITIES
- 3 to 4 days per week, flexibly distributed (with intensity around major event moments).
- London-based Engagement runs to October 2026 in the first instance, with potential to convert into a longer-term role as our events function develops.
- Some evening event delivery required.
- The role is contracted and paid via SHGH.
