Shettleston is a community-based housing association, and a Scottish Charity, which has played a major role in the regeneration of the local area for 49 years.
This post offers an exciting opportunity for the successful applicant to play a leading role in Shettleston Housing Association’s Community Development and Wider Role activity in Shettleston (and the surrounding areas of Greenfield, Springboig and Sandyhills).
Now is a fantastic time to join the Association as we look to build on our longstanding role as a ‘community anchor’ organisation in the East End of Glasgow.
The post sits within the Association’s Customer and Community Services Team, reporting to our Director of Customer and Community Services and works closely with our tenants, other local residents and partner organisations.
The successful candidate will have a key role in:
- The ongoing development of the Association’s Wider Role Strategy which will deliver and drive our community development and engagement activity for the next 3 years.
- Building new partnerships in the city (and beyond) to deliver impactful activities which improve the lives of residents in the local area.
- Breathing new life into our existing community facility “The Hub” on Shettleston Road (and explore other potential community facilities to meet the current and future needs of our community).
