The predicted salary is between 20000 - 25000 £ per year.
The Youth Worker's role is to contribute to the delivery of youth work opportunities in a variety of settings, including youth clubs and in collaboration with schools and other agencies. Youth Workers will report to a Youth Development Worker and will work closely with other youth work staff and volunteers to maximise opportunities for young people to access social and personal development as well as learning opportunities.
The Youth Worker posts available with varying hours and locations are as follows:
- Burra Youth Club - 3 hours per week
- Wastside (Bixter) Youth Club - 2.5 hours per week
- Whitedale Youth Club - 4 hours per week
- Livister (Whalsay) Youth Club - 2 x 4.5 hours per week
- Cunningsburgh Youth Club - 4 hours per week
- Unst Youth Club - Seniors - 2 x 2.5 hours per week
- Unst Youth Club - Juniors - 2 x 2.25 hours per week
Rate of pay shown in the advert is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance of £1.5523 per hour. Various permanent contracts, part time posts working over various weeks per year. A relocation package does not apply to this post. We are happy to talk flexible working.
