Advertisement Details The main purpose of the Occupational Therapy Aide is to support the Occupational Therapy Team to provide a specialist service to people in the community who are experiencing mental and physical disabilities, to enable them to live as independently a life as possible with optimal functional performance. A degree of flexibility will be required, to meet the demands of the service. The post holder will cover areas such as aids and minor adaptations, falls prevention, assessment and provision of Telecare equipment, and sensory impairment equipment. Re-ablement will be a key part of their approach. The post holder will be expected to keep up to date with new technological and professional developments in the area. There will be considerable contact with service users, families and carers who will have varying degrees of need which the postholder will be required to respond to as appropriate.
