As a Modern Apprentice Joiner you will be supported to gain the knowledge, experience, skills and abilities to become a qualified joiner providing an effective repairs and planned maintenance service to council housing and buildings.

The apprenticeship will last approximately four years, to enable the apprentice to complete an appropriate joinery qualification – SVQ Level 3 in Carpentry and Joinery.

\\n

The apprentice will learn how to carry out planned and responsive repairs as well as internal and external alterations, assist in identifying any future maintenance and will keep accurate records of work undertaken.

\\n

As well as the responsive repairs the apprentice work will include demolition, timber framing, cladding/roofing work, lining and dry partitioning, window and door replacement, kitchen and bathroom upgrades and finishing’s.
