To support the care, welfare, and education of children and young people with additional support needs (ASN) in accordance with relevant legislation, policy, and guidelines.
A Learning Support Worker may work with any child or group within a department, mainstream class, or early learning and childcare (ELC) setting. Responsibilities include working alongside or under guidance from teachers, following individualised education programmes (IEPs), and collaborating with professionals such as Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Educational Psychologists, and others.
