Under the direction of the Head Janitor, the Janitor will be responsible for:
- The security of the premises and its contents, including the operation of fire and security systems and keyholding responsibilities. This will involve patrolling all areas of the premises and playgrounds.
- The lighting and heating within the premises, including maintenance and operation of heating plant where required, replacing light bulbs and tubes, etc.

Bell\'s Brae Primary School is a non-denominational school located in central Lerwick. It consists of a Primary, an Early Learning and Childcare Setting and an ASN department. The school catchment area is from Frakkafield encompassing the majority of Lerwick, excluding Sound. There is currently a total of 300 pupils on the roll. The school is managed by Mrs Julia McGinlay, Head Teacher and 3 Depute Head Teachers. The current staffing complement is 21 teachers assisted by support staff, as required, to meet school demands. - Permanent Part Time post for 22.2 Hours per Week , 52.18 weeks per year
