Adult Services (LD & ASD) comprises of Supported Living Service; Supported Vocational Activity Service (Eric Gray @ Seafield); Short Breaks and Respite Service (Newcraigielea), the Assertive Community Transition (ACT) Service (intensive support) all of which are Care Inspectorate registered services and part of Shetland Community Health and Social Care Directorate.Adult Services (LD and ASD) use a range of best practice guidance and person centred approaches to provide support that recognises the rights of the individual to participate as meaningfully and as independently as possible.The Senior Social Care Worker – Supervisor’s role includes ensuring that individuals receive high standards of care and support in accordance with relevant legislation and national guidance associated with the serviceThis vacancy is being advertised as a **Career Graded post, which is a career development opportunity.** This means that the Council is committed to supporting the successful candidate to obtain the necessary skills, abilities and knowledge to become fully competent in the role.
