The Loans Officer Role is a customer-facing and interactive role that requires the Employee to engage with customers to assess, explain, and review loan applications. This role is often the first point of contact for new and returning clients and requires someone with above-average customer service and communication skills, both in person and telephonically.
The successful candidate will be in charge of:
- Contacting customers
- Reviewing loan applications
- Processing customer applications
- Confirming employment
Behavioural:
- Greet each customer with a smile and welcoming attitude
- Be polite, friendly, and approachable at all times
- Exercise effective listening skills when engaging with a client
- Be receptive and empathetic
Functional:
- Quote customers on loans and repayments
- Capture customer details for loan applications (including OTP verifications, etc)
- Review customer documents for veracity
- Upload clear copies of all required application documentation where applicable
- Liaise with customers to obtain any outstanding application documents
- Perform and review Credit Check for customers
- Submit pre-vetted clients to administrator for review
- Liaise with administrator on loan applications
- Update clients on status
- Confirm payments made and received by clients
Compliance:
- Ensure full compliance with NCA & NCR Regulations
- Ensure full compliance with POPIA
- Ensure all company policies are followed and upheld
- Ensure proper and regular reporting on activities and tasks
