Multi Skilled Carpenter – £33,800 + Paid Travel Time

Overview

We’re looking for an experienced multi skilled carpenter to join our commercial maintenance team. You’ll earn up to £16.25/hour for a 40-hour week (£33,800 base), plus door-to-door travel pay, meaning you can take home around £38k a year before overtime or call-outs.

What you’ll do

  • Deliver carpentry and joinery repairs, maintenance, and refurbishments to a high standard.
  • Look after a wide range of building elements including doors, windows, skirting, and suspended ceilings, along with minor tiling and plaster patching to keep sites safe, tidy, and functional.
  • Handle a mix of planned maintenance, emergency callouts, and project work across commercial properties.
  • Work safely and professionally, making sure all tasks meet compliance and customer expectations.

What you’ll need

  • A recognised qualification in carpentry/joinery (or time served experience).
  • Proven experience working independently across multiple sites.
  • Solid all-round knowledge of building maintenance.
  • A calm, professional approach and excellent customer service skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
