The role of our Financial Controller, FP&A will be supporting our Consumer Brands Groups (CBG). We produce our CBG paint and products at Chapeltown, north of Sheffield and our Commercial head office is based outside of Reading in Winnersh, Wokingham. Ideally the Financial Controller will visit the other site once a month and spend time supporting the division. This role can be based at either Reading or Sheffield. This role is ideal for someone with FC experience from within a commercial/FMCG environment in a global business. What you will be accountable for:

  • Lead forecast, planning, and budget (compensation) processes.
  • Deliver meaningful business reporting, analysis & commentaries to drive decision making and communicate relevant messages across the business.
  • Oversee scenario modeling and strategic analysis for financial decision support.
  • Improve business processes and support standardization efforts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align expense management with organization objectives.
  • Develop, guide, monitor, and lead a professional staff.

What we are ideally looking for:

  • Bachelors degree (BAcc, BAE, BFin, BEcon)
  • CIMA or ACCA or Masters degree
  • 5+ years of finance/accounting experience in international companies and commercial/FMCG environment.
  • Advantage to have 5+ years of experience working with Oracle ERP accounting.
  • Strong initiative, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Can communicate financials and related issues in clear business language.
  • Ability to work constructively at all organizational levels, from sales manager to senior executives.
  • Drive and assertiveness to achieve work deadline and performance goals.
  • Prior management experience.
