Overview

In this role you will own resin manufacture operations at the Deeside site, with full decision-making authority after training. You will ensure resin output, yield and compliance across shifts in a 24/7 plant, working closely with the Production Manager to drive performance and safety. The position emphasizes continuous improvement, hands-on leadership, and accountability for process safety and batch integrity. You will contribute to a culture that values teamwork, development, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Make and release resin batches, ensuring they meet process specifications and safety standards
  • Monitor output, yield, scrap, and oee; forecast shortfalls and propose recovery actions
  • Manage batch documentation, deviations, NCRs and CAPAs; escalate where needed
  • Own safety systems for resin reactors, ensure safe equipment and PPE usage
  • Ensure training and competency of operators; handover with accurate batch records
  • Coordinate with shift supervisors on resourcing, crew planning, and handovers
  • Release batches in Oracle Cloud ERP and maintain data accuracy
  • Communicate resin status, risk and performance daily and weekly to stakeholders
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including changes to procedures, cook sheets and set points
  • Cover for absent supervisors and contribute to plant improvements and decision making
