The Branch Specialist Color Blender will work at Store #5262, located at 3560 Elm Ave., Portsmouth, VA 23704, supporting sales efforts at a Sherwin‑Williams commercial paint store and servicing wholesale customers. The role involves contact with customers (including minors) and access to cash, payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise, and other items of value, which may be supervised or unsupervised. As a result, a review of criminal history is required to protect the safety of the company’s stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Support sales efforts at a commercial paint store, servicing wholesale customers.
- Prepare customers' paint orders quickly and accurately, including blending initial batches, making shade and gloss adjustments, filling and labeling batches, preparing draw‑downs for submittal, maintaining accurate work‑order files and formulas, and cleaning, filling and repairing equipment as necessary.
- Assist with general warehouse, delivery and customer‑service duties as needed, including loading, unloading material, and waiting on customers.
Qualifications (Must Haves)
- 18 years of age or older.
- Legally authorized to work in the country of employment without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future.
- Able to operate a computer and communicate via telephone, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Capability to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Willingness to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Operate material‑handling equipment (e.g., hand truck, pallet jack, forklift, etc.) safely once trained, with or without reasonable accommodation.
