We are looking for a Product Stewardship Advisor to take a leading role in shaping regulatory strategy and product safety excellence across our consumer coating and polymer divisions in the EMEAI region. This is a senior individual contributor role for an experienced product stewardship professional who is ready to act as a trusted advisor to the business, owning complex regulatory topics, influencing decision-making, and representing Sherwin‑Williams externally. You will operate with a high level of autonomy, serve as a subject matter expert, and work closely with R&D, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Legal, and external stakeholders to ensure compliant, competitive, and future‑ready products.

- Compliance Support
- Interpret and apply applicable regulations, developing compliance strategies and conducting independent impact assessments.
- Act as subject matter expert for consumer product regulations and drive harmonised stewardship processes across sites.
- Represent Product Stewardship with external bodies (e.g. trade associations, working groups) as required.
- Own Safety Data Sheet (SDS) preparation and maintenance; review and approve regulatory content for product labels.
- Support and improve regulatory systems, data integrity, and software alignment across sites.
- Independently resolve routine to complex internal and external customer regulatory inquiries.
- Act as EMEAI single point of contact for regulatory, legislative, and product safety matters.
- Support R&D, Marketing, Sales, and customers with strategic, regulation driven guidance.
- Prepare responses to regulatory agency inquiries in collaboration with Legal and management.
- Represent Product Stewardship in business and project meetings; maintain SDS portals.
- Identify and drive process and system improvements to meet emerging regulatory requirements.
- Lead complex product stewardship projects and contribute to cross‑functional initiatives.
- Deliver training and awareness sessions on product stewardship trends and regulatory updates.

- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (e.g. chemistry); Master’s preferred, ideally in polymer chemistry.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in product stewardship or regulatory roles (6 years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of EMEAI chemical regulations, including REACH, CLP (EU/UK) and BPR.
- Experience managing raw material and finished goods compliance and responding to customer inquiries.
- SDS and label authoring experience; global and UK regulatory exposure preferred.
- Background in paint & coatings, chemical industry, or consumer products advantageous.
- Proficient with regulatory, formulation, and ERP systems; strong data analysis skills.
- Fluent in English; product development and project management experience a plus.
