Our client is an established, privately owned UK manufacturer of paper-based consumables, with headquarters near York. With 35+ years of manufacturing heritage, strong stockholding and next-day delivery capability, the business supplies distributors, resellers and end-users across sectors including retail, hospitality, healthcare, transport, fast-food, office products and gaming.

The Role
Reporting to the Sales Director, you will combine account management with proactive new business development. You will inherit an established portfolio of customers, developing and expanding those relationships while building a strong pipeline of new business across the UK. Key areas of responsibility include:
- Growing existing accounts through increased volumes, cross-selling and improved customer relationships
- Identifying, targeting and winning new customers across multiple B2B sectors
- Manage the full sales process from prospecting through to close & onboarding
- Develop strong relationships with procurement & commercial decision-makers
- Negotiating pricing, terms & supply agreements to maximise revenue/margin
- Maintaining an accurate CRM, pipeline and sales forecast
- Providing market intelligence and commercial insight to the Sales Director
- Representing the business at relevant trade events and industry forums
About You
We are looking for a proven B2B sales professional with a strong commercial mindset and a track record of both winning new business and growing existing accounts. Ideally, you will have experience selling paper products, labels, consumables or other repeat-purchase products, with exposure to sectors such as retail, hospitality, office products, transport, logistics, healthcare or gaming.
You will be:
- Commercially driven, persuasive and confident negotiating
- Comfortable developing business from scratch as well as managing established accounts
- Self-motivated & highly organised, with the autonomy to manage a UK-wide territory
- A strong communicator who can build credibility at all levels
- Ideally experienced in selling through or to distributors/resellers
- A full UK driving licence holder
