Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 4:00pm
  • Friday: 7:00am – 1:00pm

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mill Supervisor to join a well-established timber manufacturing operation in Hull. This is a hands-on supervisory role, ideal for someone with strong leadership skills and a solid background within the timber or milling sector.

The Role

As Mill Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily production activities, ensuring output targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily production, ensuring targets are achieved whilst maintaining high standards of quality and safety
  • Manage and coordinate a team of production line workers and machinists
  • Assign tasks effectively to ensure optimal workflow and productivity
  • Monitor machinery and equipment, identifying and addressing issues to minimise downtime
  • Enforce health & safety procedures to protect employees from potential milling hazards
  • Maintain accurate records of production output, inventory levels, and equipment maintenance
  • Promote a positive working environment through training, support, and team development
  • Resolve conflicts, encourage teamwork, and support staff performance
  • Act as a key communication link between management and operational teams, ensuring business objectives are clearly understood and delivered
