What’s on Offer?
- The starting salary is £13 per hour. This will rise to £13.50 per hour after probationary period. You will also receive an attendance bonus of £100 per month once you are a permanent member of the team.
- 40 hours per week. Your normal working hours shall be 8am to 4.30pm on Mondays to Thursday and 8am to 3.15pm on a Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

Key Responsibilities:
- The role involves cleaning, smoothing, and finishing metal castings or fabricated components to ensure they meet required specifications before moving to the next stage of production.
- Grinding and Deburring - Removing rough edges, seams, or excess material from metal parts using grinders, files, or hand tools.
- Inspection of Components - Visually inspecting parts for defects like cracks, imperfections, or sharp edges. Using measuring tools to ensure components meet dimensional specs.
- Cleaning Metal Surfaces - Sandblasting, shot blasting, or wire brushing to clean and prepare surfaces.
- Finishing Work - Smoothing surfaces to prepare for painting, coating, or further machining.
- Maintaining Equipment - Regularly checking tools and machines to ensure they’re in good working order.
- Manual Handling - Moving parts around the workshop, often involving physical labour and the use of lifting equipment.
