Our client is a market-leading UK manufacturer based on Melton Industrial Estate, North Ferriby. They're investing seriously in SAP and bringing in an S&OP Planner to make it the single source of truth for demand, inventory and supply. You'll sit at the junction of Sales, Commercial, Production and Procurement, turning commercial noise into a plan the business can actually run on.
What you'll be doing:
- Work with Sales and Commercial to translate demand, promotions and market shifts into structured SAP planning
- Lead the shift away from spreadsheets and manual workarounds toward proper SAP S&OP process
- Chair regular S&OP reviews, getting Sales, Supply Chain and Production genuinely aligned
- Own master data governance — validating requests, auditing data, keeping SAP clean and trustworthy
- Build dashboards and reports that give the business real visibility, not guesswork
- Balance inventory against working capital and customer service — enough stock, not too much
- Support new product introductions, making sure planning and master data are right from day one
- Coach the wider team to use SAP effectively
What you'll bring:
- Solid hands-on experience with SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA in a planning or supply chain role, ideally across MM, PP and SD
- A background in demand planning, S&OP or supply chain planning — manufacturing or distribution preferred
- Working knowledge of forecasting methods, MRP and inventory principles
- The confidence to challenge how things are currently done, and the communication skills to bring people with you
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities without losing sight of the detail
