Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Duct Fitter to join our team on projects across Portsmouth and the surrounding areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, modification, and maintenance of HVAC ductwork on commercial and/or industrial sites, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Installing and fitting ventilation and air conditioning ductwork
- Reading and working from technical drawings and plans
- Measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing duct systems
- Working with spiral, rectangular, and pre-fabricated ductwork
- Ensuring all work complies with health & safety regulations
- Liaising with site supervisors and other trades on-site
- Identifying and resolving installation issues
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Duct Fitter (commercial experience preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Valid CSCS card (essential)
- Own tools and PPE
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good time management and reliability
Desirable (but not essential)
- IPAF or PASMA certification
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Heating & Ventilation / Ductwork
- Experience working on large commercial projects
