We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established mechanical and fabrication contractor for an experienced Sheet Metal Worker to join their team on a permanent basis. The role will be based across commercial projects and/or workshop fabrication in London.

This is a long-term opportunity offering stability, consistent work and progression within a reputable business.

Role Overview

As a Sheet Metal Worker, you will be responsible for the fabrication and assembly of metal ductwork and related components, working to technical drawings and specifications. The role may involve workshop-based fabrication and/or site installation depending on project requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fabrication of sheet metal ductwork and HVAC components
  • Working with galvanised steel, aluminium and other materials
  • Reading and interpreting technical and fabrication drawings
  • Operating fabrication machinery (press brake, guillotine, rollers, etc.)
  • Ensuring high-quality workmanship and accuracy
  • Adhering to health & safety standards at all times
  • Working independently or as part of a team to meet production targets
Candidate Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Worker / Ductwork Fabricator
  • Background in HVAC, ductwork or mechanical fabrication
  • Ability to work from detailed drawings and specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Good understanding of workshop and/or site-based processes
  • Valid CSCS card (where site-based)
  • Desirable: NVQ / City & Guilds in Sheet Metal Work or related trade
  • Experience in commercial or industrial projects
  • Welding or specialist fabrication experience
Salary & Package

£40,000 – £55,000 per annum (depending on experience)
