The Role
Consyst is looking to appoint an HVAC Technical Support Advisor (First Line Support) to join their team at their Edgware office. This role is ideal for someone from an air conditioning or HVAC background who wants to move into an office-based, technical support position within the building controls industry.
You will act as the first point of contact for customers, responding to enquiries via telephone and email. Clients typically contact our client for advice on which products are best suited to their projects, and your role will be to understand their requirements, speak their language, and guide them towards the correct solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for customer enquiries via phone and email
- Understand client HVAC project requirements and provide technical guidance
- Advise on appropriate products and solutions based on project needs
- Interpret and understand technical drawings and specifications
- Communicate confidently with contractors, consultants, and engineers
- Log, track, and manage customer enquiries through to resolution
- Liaise with internal technical and engineering teams when required
- Continuously develop knowledge of building controls and automation systems
Essential Requirements
- Strong HVAC knowledge, particularly VRV systems, VRF systems, and fan coil units
- Background in air conditioning, HVAC, or building services
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Confident telephone manner and clear written communication skills
- Keen to learn and develop within the controls and automation industry
- Organised, proactive, and customer-focused
Desirable Experience
- Experience with Fujitsu, Mitsubishi, or Panasonic systems
- Previous experience in a technical support, applications, or office-based HVAC role
- Exposure to building controls or BMS (not essential)
