Civils Estimator in Durham

Civils Estimator We are working with a very well established, growing construction and engineering firm operating across the North East and we are looking to hire a Civils Estimator to prepare and produce accurate estimates for a wide range of tenders, contracts, and sub contract works. This excellent role requires strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical information to support informed decision making. What’s on offer: * Starting salary of between £60k-£80k DOE plus numerous benefits * Hybrid – 3 days in the office / 2 days from home * Exciting mix of civils projects spanning wastewater, highways, bridges, coastal and housing infrastructure with values of anywhere from £3M through to £50M * Great personal development and training opportunities * Employer of choice Day to day you will: * Build up estimates based on first principals * Present accurate estimates to Senior Management for settlement on a timely basis * Prepare and produce sub-contractor packages for specialist work within required timescales * Anticipate and identify risks and opportunities within the tender process * Ensure workload is planned to meet client deadlines * Liaise and work effectively with different stakeholders and team members * Contribute to maintaining high standards to ensure compliance with all appropriate legislation Qualifications: * A minimum of 3 years experience in a civils estimation role * Experience of causeway estimating software is an advantage but not essential Attributes & Skills: * Excellent communication skills both written and face to face * Excellent telephone skills * Attention to detail * Excellent time management skills * ​Good planning and organisational skills This is a fantastic opportunity to join an evolving team and well established company with a brilliant range of projects to work on.
