A leading ductwork specialist is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join its growing team based at Crossways Business Park in Dartford. This is an office-based role offering the opportunity to manage projects from initial survey through to successful completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site surveys and undertake accurate on-site measurements.
  • Produce and review technical drawings using AutoCAD (essential).
  • Manage projects throughout the full delivery lifecycle, ensuring quality, programme, and commercial objectives are achieved.
  • Liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Oversee contract administration under both NEC and traditional forms of contract.
  • Prepare cost plans, take-offs, and support value engineering initiatives.
  • Monitor project margins and maintain commercial control throughout delivery.
  • Develop and manage project programmes, resource allocation, and scheduling.
  • Handle variations, final accounts, and contribute to overall project profitability.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Project Engineer or similar project delivery role within construction, building services, HVAC, ductwork, or a related industry.
  • Strong AutoCAD skills are essential.
  • Experience carrying out site surveys and taking accurate measurements.
  • Knowledge of project and contract management, including NEC and traditional contracts.
  • Strong commercial awareness, including P&L understanding, variation management, and final accounts.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
