Role Summary
As a BMS Commissioning Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality commissioning on commercial projects across London and surrounding areas. You’ll work with the design, install, and maintenance teams to ensure BMS systems are configured, tested, and handed over to clients to the highest standard.
You will be responsible for on-site commissioning activities, testing control strategies, and optimising system performance supporting our clients commitment to excellence in building automation delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Lead commissioning activities on commercial BMS projects from installation through commissioning to system handover
Configure, test and optimise BMS systems to achieve design intent and performance targets
Work extensively with Tridium Niagara and Trend Control Systems platforms (certification required)
Read and interpret technical drawings, system sequences, and control logic
Perform fault finding, debugging, and corrective action during commissioning phases
Prepare detailed commissioning reports and documentation
Support client training and system handover, ensuring confidence and satisfaction
Liaise with internal teams and subcontractors to resolve technical issues
Ensure all works comply with current standards, specifications, and safety requirements
Essential Requirements
Proven experience commissioning BMS on commercial projects
Tridium (Niagara) certification
Trend Control Systems certification
Strong understanding of HVAC plant and controls logic
Ability to interpret technical drawings and system sequences
Excellent fault-finding and analytical skills
xiskglj Full UK driving licence and ability to travel to London sites
Desirable Skills
Experience with additional BMS platforms (e.g., BACnet, Modbus)
Exposure to energy optimisation and performance tuning
Experience in supporting soft landings or client optimisation reviews
