Air Conditioning Engineer (Service & Maintenance)

Our client is a leading provider of HVAC solutions, specialising in air conditioning systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. They are seeking a skilled and experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the service, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning systems, with a focus on VRVs, VRFs, multi-splits, and compressor replacements.

Candidates must be F-Gas qualified.

Job Description:

As an Air Conditioning Engineer specialising in service and maintenance, your role will involve the following key responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Service & Maintenance: Carry out routine maintenance and servicing on a wide range of air conditioning systems, including VRVs, VRFs, and multi-split systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively.
2. Fault Diagnosis & Repair: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve faults across various air conditioning systems, ensuring a prompt return to service with minimal downtime.
3. Compressor Replacement: Perform compressor replacements on a variety of air conditioning units, ensuring correct installation and safe operation.
4. Installation Support: Assist with the installation of new systems and components as required, ensuring compliance with manufacturer guidelines and industry regulations.
5. System Upgrades: Recommend and implement system upgrades to improve performance, energy efficiency, and compliance with the latest regulatory standards.
6. Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service, explaining technical issues and maintenance requirements in a clear and professional manner.
7. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate service records, including job reports, equipment logs, and maintenance schedules. Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
8. Team Collaboration: Work alongside other engineers and technicians, sharing expertise and supporting the team to ensure the highest quality of service.

Required Skills & Experience:

1. Experience: Proven experience in air conditioning service and maintenance, specifically with VRVs, VRFs, multi-split systems, and compressor replacements.
2. Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of HVAC systems, including refrigeration cycles, electrical components, and fault diagnosis.
3. Certification: F-Gas certified (essential), with relevant qualifications in air conditioning and refrigeration (e.g., City & Guilds Level 2/3 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or equivalent).
4. Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to think critically and resolve complex issues quickly and efficiently.
5. Customer Focus: Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients.
6. Physical Fitness: Ability to work in various environments and lift heavy equipment when necessary.
7. Full UK Driving License: A valid driver\’s license is essential as the role will require travel to various sites.
