Sheringham Woodfields School is an Outstanding complex needs school in Norfolk for pupils aged 3-19. Our school has an important role in delivering the SEN strategy across North Norfolk and there will be many opportunities for the successful candidate to take on new challenges and responsibilities.

We are looking for motivated individuals who want to make a difference to young people’s lives, focusing on the individual and their needs. Experience of working with SEN and challenging behaviours is desirable.

We are looking to recruit a Midday Supervisory Assistant to join our school. The role involves providing effective support at lunchtimes to ensure all pupils are kept safe, have their personal needs met, enjoy less formal activities, and make effective choices. You will supervise pupils under the direction of the duty teacher, ensuring the safety and well-being of pupils and adherence to school procedures while in play areas, the dining room, classrooms, or in transit between schools where appropriate.

Full induction and training will be given to the successful applicants. Successful applicants will have access to our comprehensive CPD programme including online training, twilights, and CPD Days.

This post is likely to come under the requirements of the Childcare (Disqualification) 2009 Regulations, and the successful applicant will be required to complete a declaration form to establish whether they are disqualified under these regulations. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act, and you will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced DBS check with barred list.
