What are we looking for? The Governing Board is made up of a group of dedicated volunteers, who invest a huge amount of good will and time for the sole purpose of improving the education of every child in our school. The Governing Board is a dynamic group of highly skilled individuals who focus on supporting the Head Teacher and the staff to shape the strategic direction of the school. A governor will be expected to have at least 3 years experience in one of the listed skills areas:
- Financial management
- Governance
- Legal
- Health and safety
- Safeguarding
- Teaching / Education
What will you be doing? Providing strategic governance to ensure sound leadership of the school in the following areas: education, finance, safeguarding, personnel, health and safety, and accountability. The role involves attending six meetings a year (8am start) and two visits a year within your specified area (e.g. safeguarding or maths).
