Are you an experienced Veterinary Surgeon ready to take the next step into a Senior or Lead role within a progressive, well-established practice? At Sheriff's Highway Vets, we are looking for a confident and motivated vet to join our thriving multi-site practice in Tyne and Wear.

With excellent facilities, a large and supportive clinical team, and a varied first opinion caseload, this is a fantastic opportunity for a vet who is passionate about clinical excellence and enjoys helping to support and guide colleagues. We are ideally looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who is confident supporting colleagues, sharing clinical knowledge and helping to maintain the high standards of patient care across the practice. A certificate holder would be welcomed, although we are equally keen to hear from vets with strong clinical experience who are interested in developing their leadership skills further.

Working closely with the wider leadership team, you will help support the clinical direction of the practice while continuing to enjoy a varied caseload across consultations, surgery and diagnostics. You will be based primarily at our main Gateshead hub while also working across our branches in Sunderland, Ryton and Whickham, giving you exposure to a diverse caseload and collaborative team environment.

This typically consists of 38 hours across four weekdays with a set day off each week, plus participation in a one-in-three Saturday rota. Saturday shifts alternate between a full day at the main Gateshead hub from 8:00am to 5:00pm and a morning consulting shift at one of our branches from 9:00am to 12:00pm. We understand the importance of flexibility and are always open to discussing working patterns where possible.
