The predicted salary is between 50000 - 70000 £ per year.

A permanent, full-time position (9:30am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday) with a flexible approach to working hours. Overtime may be required at busy times. We currently operate a hybrid working policy.

The corporate and venture capital team prides itself on technical excellence and commercial, practical advice. It advises clients from start-up to exit and operates in a dynamic environment, representing entrepreneurs, talent, and investors.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated associate to join our corporate & venture capital team. The successful candidate will have up to 2 years post-qualification experience and an entrepreneurial outlook. Opportunities to develop and implement a business plan to grow your client base will be available.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex matters and transactions directly with partners and the wider team.
  • Assist partners on investments, shareholder agreements, and joint ventures.
  • Guide clients on advisory and company law matters.
  • Draft documents and contracts tailored to client needs.
  • Negotiate with opposing solicitors to secure client objectives.
  • Manage transactions, preparing checklists and driving matters forward.
  • Arrange and attend client meetings as necessary.
  • Apply high attention to detail and review all documentation prior to signing.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • A junior lawyer trained and worked within established practices.
  • Experience in M&A transactions, private equity, venture capital work, and corporate governance.
  • Methodical approach with a strong focus on accuracy.

  • Enthusiasm, resilience, and a professional approach.
  • Ability to liaise, persuade, and influence colleagues.
  • Organised, able to prioritise and multi-task under pressure.

  • Flexibility towards working out of regular hours at busy times.

Qualifications

  • A strong academic record.
  • Qualified as a Solicitor in England and Wales.
