We are looking for passionate people to make sure our site is safe and comfortable, whilst covering all aspects of housekeeping. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the school and will have a flexible approach and be able to respond quickly to requests for assistance.
About the School
Sheridan School is a specialist therapeutic school in Norfolk, supporting children and young people with complex social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. We provide personalised education in a calm, nurturing environment helping each student grow in confidence, rediscover their love of learning, and realise their full potential. We support young people aged 7 - 16 with a range of SEMH needs, including autism, ADHD, PTSD and attachment disorders. Kingsbrook is a therapeutic day school, providing education to children and young people aged 11-18 years with social, emotional, mental health difficulties and complex learning needs.
Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the school and respond quickly to requests for assistance.
- Demonstrate experience of daily cleaning schedules and ensure appropriate paperwork is completed.
- Adhere to health and safety legislation applicable to the role.
- Contribute to a supportive and collaborative working environment to help the focus on student wellbeing.
Essential Characteristics
- Communication – interact with young people who may display varying degrees of emotional behavioural difficulties, autism, ADHD and associated difficulties.
- Organisation – confident and organised in record keeping, ensuring issues are logged on internal computer systems and routine maintenance checks are kept up to date.
- Attentive – able to understand different tasks and identify areas where support is needed.
