Family Medicine Physician develop evidence-based protocols and clinical guidelines. Engage in long-range planning (equipment selection, budgeting, staffing) in collaboration with the CEO. Maintain effective relationships referring providers and the broader medical community; provide administrative leadership on committees as needed. Medical Director Duties: direct supervision of non-physician (PAs/NPs), oversee documentation and medical records completeness, participate in staffing/scheduling for ED as requested, and support accreditation/licensing and regulatory reviews SMHA is a private, not-for-profit system serving Sheridan County and surrounding communities, operating a 19-bed Critical Access Hospital (including swing beds), Long-Term Care, and a full-service Rural Health Clinic.
