Sheridan Maine are delighted to be working with a well-established and rapidly growing organisation that’s looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join their finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership, improving processes, and helping to shape the way financial information supports the wider business.
You’ll be at the heart of the month-end process, working closely with senior leadership, supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles, and mentoring a small team of Management Accountants.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading on monthly management accounts, including journals, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Producing insightful variance analysis and commentary to support commercial decisions.
- Working alongside the Senior Accountant to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Supporting the budgeting and forecasting process across the business.
- Coaching and guiding junior team members to develop their technical and professional skills.
- Taking the lead on process improvements, ensuring reporting is efficient, accurate, and compliant.
- Building strong relationships with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
What we’re looking for:
- Fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA) with a few years’ solid management accounting experience.
- Confident using Excel and ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, or Netsuite).
- Comfortable working to deadlines and managing multiple priorities.
- Collaborative, approachable, and proactive.
