Sheridan Maine is currently working in partnership with a growing and award-winning Top 100 accountancy firm to recruit a Tax Senior for their North London office. This well-established and forward-thinking firm offers a full range of services to a diverse portfolio of clients, including private individuals, owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurs, charities, and large limited companies across a wide variety of sectors.
Your responsibilities as the Tax Senior will include:
- Manage a portfolio of clients including individuals, sole traders, partnerships, trusts, and high net worth individuals.
- Provide tailored tax advice and planning across a range of areas including EIS/SEIS, Capital Gains Tax (CGT), Inheritance Tax (IHT), share option schemes, and residency and domicile matters.
- Handle complex personal tax issues and deliver commercially sound solutions to clients.
- Prepare and review personal tax returns and Form P11D submissions.
- Manage and respond to tax enquiries from HMRC on behalf of clients.
- Assist in the training, supervision, and development of junior team members.
- Develop strong, long-term relationships with clients and act as a trusted advisor.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for the firm using existing business relationships, or by building and developing new opportunities for business development.
To be considered for the role of Tax Senior, you will require the following skills and qualifications:
- CTA qualified (or studying towards qualification or QBE).
- Previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice (minimum of 5 years).
- Strong technical and commercial tax knowledge, with a proven ability to deliver practical solutions to real-world client challenges.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Organised and able to manage multiple client deadlines.
- Must be willing and able to learn quickly.
