Sheridan Maine is delighted to be working with a growing, dynamic and innovative chartered accountancy practice based in Hertfordshire to recruit a Personal Tax Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly and collaborative tax team within a firm that is continually developing new ideas and services to better support its clients.
Working closely with senior tax leaders and colleagues across the firm, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality personal tax services while contributing to a positive and supportive team environment.
The role
- Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients.
- Preparing and reviewing personal, partnership and trust tax returns.
- Liaising with clients to understand requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
- Identifying tax planning opportunities and supporting their implementation.
- Reviewing technical work prepared by junior team members.
- Assisting with HMRC enquiries and compliance matters.
- Collaborating with colleagues across the firm on advisory and project work.
To be considered for this Personal Tax Manager role, you will ideally have:
- CTA qualification or equivalent.
- Post-qualification experience within a personal tax environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of personal tax and related matters.
- Experience managing a client portfolio and supervising junior staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good IT skills and experience using tax software.
