Sheridan Maine Accounting Finance is partnering with a market-leading manufacturing business in Christchurch, Dorset to recruit a Temporary Management Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant / Finance Analyst to step into a fast-paced environment and support the finance function across reporting, budgeting, and cost analysis. Working closely with the Head of Finance, you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate financial insight and supporting operational decision-making.

As a Management Accountant, you will support the delivery of high-quality financial information and provide insight to improve business performance. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
  • Producing detailed variance analysis with clear commentary for senior stakeholders
  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Involvement in cost accounting, including overhead allocation, product costing, and margin analysis
  • Monitoring project spend and reporting on actual vs budget performance
  • Partnering with operational teams to drive cost control and efficiency improvements
  • Supporting financial reporting for senior management and external stakeholders
  • Assisting with year-end audit and preparation of supporting schedules
