Sheridan Maine is working with a growing East London-based organisation to recruit an ambitious WIP/Billings Assistant. This is a varied and hands-on role, working closely with the client team and Finance Director to support business operations, streamline processes, and contribute to the overall success of the company.

Key responsibilities of the WIP/Billings Assistant will include:
- Billing Management β ensuring invoices are raised and sent in a timely manner to manage the working capital cycle.
- Accounts Payable / Parked List Management β reviewing outstanding invoices and working with junior team members to ensure costs are processed and accounted for.
- Purchase Order (PO) Approval β reviewing POs, ensuring due diligence and budget checks before approval.
- Work-In-Progress (WIP) Management β overseeing WIP, ensuring jobs are reconciled and closed promptly.
- Client Reconciliation β maintaining responsibility for weekly/monthly reconciliation reports to support decision making.
- Debtors Management β reviewing aged debt and following up on outstanding issues with client leads.
- Month-End Revenue Support β assisting with compliance and revenue queries during month-end processes.
- Ad-hoc Requests β supporting the Finance team with various ad-hoc tasks and queries.
- Process Improvement β identifying opportunities to improve workflows and efficiency.
Skills and experience required to succeed as a WIP/Billings Assistant:
- Studying towards a professional finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Strong Excel skills (SUMIFs, VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
- Effective communication with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
