The Company Sheridan Maine is partnering with a well-established and growing accountancy practice in North London to recruit an Audit Senior. This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional and collaborative team, managing a varied client portfolio while developing your audit and accounts expertise.
The Role
The Audit Senior will take responsibility for delivering audit engagements from planning through to completion, supervising junior team members, and liaising directly with clients. You will work closely with managers and partners, ensuring high-quality delivery and compliance with auditing standards.
The Audit Senior will be responsible for:
- Managing and delivering audit assignments for a portfolio of clients.
- Reviewing and preparing audit working papers and supporting documentation.
- Supervising and coaching junior staff on audit and accounts tasks.
- Preparing accounts and management accounts as required.
- Liaising with clients to resolve queries and provide professional guidance.
- Ensuring audits are completed on time, in line with auditing standards and firm procedures.
The successful Audit Senior will possess:
- ACA or ACCA part-qualified or fully qualified with practice experience.
- Proven experience managing audit engagements within an accountancy practice.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting and auditing standards.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- High attention to detail, organisational skills, and a proactive approach.
- Experience supervising and mentoring junior team members.
