Sheridan Maine is delighted to be working with a well-established and growing accountancy firm based in Central London to recruit an Audit & Accounts Senior / Semi-Senior.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious practice professional to join a supportive team and gain exposure to a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of sectors.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering audit and accounts services while developing their technical skills and progressing their career.
Key responsibilities
- Preparing statutory accounts for a portfolio of clients.
- Supporting and leading audit assignments from planning through to completion.
- Carrying out audit testing and preparing clear working papers.
- Assisting with the preparation of management accounts and financial statements.
- Reviewing bookkeeping records and resolving queries.
- Preparing corporation tax computations where required.
- Liaising directly with clients and providing a high level of service.
- Supporting junior team members and sharing technical knowledge.
Requirements
- Previous experience within an accountancy practice environment.
- Experience working on audit and accounts assignments.
- Strong understanding of UK accounting standards and statutory reporting requirements.
- ACA/ACCA qualification or actively studying towards qualification (or qualified by experience).
