Job Description Client Manager | Full Time, Permanent | £50,000 - £55,000 | North London “Sheridan Maine is delighted to be working with a well-established Chartered Accountancy practice based in North London, which is looking for an experienced Client Manager to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with at least five years' solid post-qualification experience who is confident managing a portfolio of clients independently and enjoys working across accounts, audit and tax. As Client Manager, you will take responsibility for your own portfolio of clients, acting as a key point of contact and ensuring a high standard of service is delivered across a range of accounting and compliance requirements. Managing a portfolio of clients independently, building strong and trusted relationships. Preparing and reviewing accounts for a varied portfolio of clients, which will form the majority of the role. Preparing corporation tax returns in conjunction with the limited company accounts. Independently preparing, collating and submitting personal tax returns to HMRC, with responsibility for a portfolio of approximately 70 returns. Reviewing VAT and Making Tax Digital (MTD) work and overseeing submissions, with occasional preparation where required. Liaising confidently with clients by telephone and email, responding to queries and providing a professional and proactive service. The successful Client Manager will ideally have: A recognised accountancy qualification such as ACA or ACCA. Strong experience in accounts preparation, with the ability to review work where required. Previous experience of audit, corporation tax and personal tax. Experience preparing and submitting personal tax returns independently. Good knowledge of VAT and Making Tax Digital requirements.
