The Company Sheridan Maine is partnering with a well-established and growing accountancy practice in North London to recruit an Accounts Manager. The Role
The Accounts Manager will oversee the preparation of accounts and compliance work for a portfolio of clients, providing guidance to junior team members and ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met. You will work closely with partners and senior colleagues, supporting client relationships and contributing to the growth of the practice.
The Accounts Manager will be responsible for:
- Managing a portfolio of clients and taking ownership of accounts preparation and compliance work.
- Producing management accounts and statutory accounts in line with deadlines.
- Reviewing the work of junior team members and providing guidance and training.
- Liaising with clients to resolve queries and provide accounting advice.
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, firm procedures, and statutory requirements.
- Supporting partners with ad hoc projects and client engagements.
The successful Accounts Manager will possess:
- ACA or ACCA qualified, with significant practice experience.
- Proven experience managing client accounts and supervising junior staff.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards and statutory reporting.
- Excellent communication, client management, and organisational skills.
