Sheridan Maine is delighted to be working with a leading accountancy practice with several offices across the Southwest, currently seeking an experienced Corporate Tax Manager to join their well-established Bristol office.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional to play a leading role in managing and developing a corporate tax team, while supporting a varied portfolio of OMB/SME and large corporate clients with both compliance and advisory services. Your responsibilities as the Corporate Tax Manager will include:
- Take a leading role in developing and maintaining strong client relationships across the corporate portfolio.
- Work closely with Tax Partners and other senior colleagues to ensure clients receive a comprehensive and seamless tax service.
- Manage and support a team of corporate tax specialists, providing technical guidance and mentoring.
- Review and oversee complex corporate tax compliance work.
- Act as a key point of contact with HMRC, supporting clients with correspondence and investigations where required.
- Stay up to date with evolving tax legislation and ensure accurate interpretation and application to client work.
- Manage work-in-progress, billing, and debtor collection efficiently.
- Contribute to internal and external presentations, training, and the development of technical materials.
For success in this Corporate Tax Manager role, you should ideally have:
- Significant experience in corporate tax, particularly with larger businesses.
- A CTA qualification (ACA/ACCA also an advantage).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with excellent problem-solving ability.
- The ability to manage pressure, prioritise effectively, and maintain accuracy.
