An established and fast-growing UK top 20 accountancy and advisory firm is looking for an ambitious and technically skilled Audit Manager or Assistant Audit Manager to join its dynamic Christchurch office.

Due to continued growth, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone with audit experience in practice to take the next step in their career. Whether you\’re an experienced Assistant Manager or already operating at Manager level, your responsibilities will be tailored to your experience.

This client-facing role offers exposure to a broad range of SME clients and provides real prospects for professional development and progression.

Your responsibilities as the Audit Manager or Assistant Audit Manager will include:

  • Manage or support audits from planning through to completion.
  • Review and supervise audit work and files, ensuring technical accuracy.
  • Train, mentor, and support junior team members.
  • Tackle complex audit and accounting areas, including non-routine transactions.
  • Prepare audit files for RI review.
  • Contribute to system improvements and efficiency initiatives.
  • Take an active interest in the overall success of the firm.
  • To be considered for the role of Audit Manager or Assistant Audit Manager:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified.
  • Has a minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience (for Manager level).
  • Experienced in audit within a UK accountancy practice.
  • Technically strong in auditing and accounting standards (FRS 102, UK GAAP).
