Interim Financial Accountant in Weymouth

Contract | Full-time | Competitive Daily Rate | Duration: Interim/contract – 3 months Sheridan Maine are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client in Weymouth for an experienced Interim Financial Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established organisation, supporting their finance team during a busy period. Key Responsibilities: Prepare accurate and timely management and statutory accounts. Maintain the general ledger and ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are up to date. Produce month-end and year-end reporting packs, including analysis and commentary for management. Manage accruals, prepayments, and intercompany transactions. Review and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring. Liaise with auditors and assist with audit preparation. The Ideal Candidate: Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA). Experience preparing statutory accounts, management accounts, and supporting audits. Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles Ideally trained in practice, with experience in a professional accounting environment. Able to work independently, manage deadlines, and adapt quickly to changing priorities. Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
