Job Description

“The road to success is always under construction.”  Lily Tomlin.An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and driven Senior Share Incentives Tax Manager to join a well-established and growing tax team. This role is based in Birmingham, where you will play a key part in building and shaping the success of a new office.You will work with a diverse client base, from entrepreneurial start-ups to established corporates, supporting them with a variety of complex and rewarding tax advisory projects relating to employee share schemes and equity incentives.In addition to client advisory work, this is a leadership role ideal for someone who enjoys developing and mentoring junior team members. You will also contribute to business development efforts and have the opportunity to influence the growth and direction of the firm’s equity incentives service line.Key Responsibilities of the Senior Share Reward Tax Manager:
  • Advising on the design, structuring, and implementation of approved and unapproved employee share schemes.
  • Providing tax advice on equity matters in the context of corporate transactions, including reviewing and signing off share reward tax due diligence reports.
  • Coaching, developing, and supporting junior team members to build their technical and advisory skills.
  • Playing an active role in business development activities both locally and across the wider firm.
  • Contributing to business strategy discussions and the continued development of the equity incentives service offering.

  • Hold relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CTA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • Have substantial experience advising on equity incentives and share scheme tax matters.
  • Are excellent communicators with the ability to build trusted client relationships.
  • Enjoy developing and coaching others, with proven people management skills.
  • Are motivated to play an active part in the growth and success of the firm.
