Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice professional to take on a key leadership role, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the firm while driving forward growth and efficiency. Responsibilities of the Practice Manager will include:
  • Oversee a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of industries, ensuring the delivery of high-quality accounting and advisory services.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular meetings - both in-person and virtual.
  • Review statutory financial statements, including small company, medium company, and charity accounts, ensuring compliance with relevant reporting standards.
  • Lead client onboarding processes and coordinate the allocation of work across the team to meet deadlines and client expectations.
  • Prepare management accounts and financial reports required by external stakeholders.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop junior team members.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery within the practice.
  • Oversee billing and debtor management across the client portfolio and wider department, highlighting opportunities for improvement.
  • Work closely with partners to support strategic planning and business development. 
The successful Practice Manager will have:
  • ACA/ACCA Qualified or QBE.
  • Previous experience within a UK accountancy practice (a minimum of 2 years).
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem solving.
  • Commercial awareness and confidence in managing client relationships.
